The JMI Global is a 2-day conference to be held on the 12th and 13th of July at the L’Ateneu in Banyoles. Under the theme Rhythms of Resilience, the JMI Global will take delegates on a journey of reflection, discovery and learning from around the measures being taken in the international youth-music community to create more resilient and sustainable cultural movements that enable youth to creatively thrive. The JMI Global is an open event for anyone engaged in the world of youth and music. It features showcases by amazing young musicians, inspirational talks, vibrant networking, wonderous workshops and more! The JMI Global provides something for everybody, sparking collaboration and exchange in order to make a greater impact on the world through music. PROGRAMME OUTLINE 11 July: Arrivals 12 July: JMI Global Day 1 13 July: JMI Global Day 2 14 July: Departures (or JMI Annual General Assembly) ACCOMMODATION: HOTEL CARLEMANY GIRONA Delegates will be hosted at the Hotel Carlemany in Girona, 20mins away from Banyoles*. Hotel Carlemany Girona is ideally located 600 meters from the historic Barri Vell and 400 meters from Girona Train and Bus Station. The Carlemany has the Indigo Restaurant and Bar serves cocktails on a beautiful terrace. The Pati Verd offers a daily buffet breakfast, as well as regional cuisine made with seasonal ingredients. The Carlemany Hotel is located on a quiet street, close to Girona's main shops. Girona Cathedral and the Jewish Quarter are a 10-minute walk away. Every morning and evening participants will be shuttled to Banyoles for the conference. VENUE: L’ATENEU (https://ateneu.banyoles.cat/) Inaugurated on September 27, 2003, the Ateneu has been a space long claimed by the population after the collapse in 1985 of the Els Catòlics theatre. From being a popular theater, this facility has become a space dedicated mainly to music, mainly due to the enormous musical creativity of Banyoles and the desire to unite them in a single space. Its basic objectives are to ensure that the people of Banyoles enjoy musical equipment in its fullest expression, where training, exhibition and creation coexist and are interrelated, structured in four main areas.
