Ethno Sweden is the oldest and biggest of all Ethnos and has taken place in the region of Dalarna every summer since 1990. We gather around 90 participants every year, arriving from 15-20 different countries. The gathering is built on workshops where participants teach each other, supported by skilled and experienced artistic mentors. All the fun and hard work results in two big concerts, one at the prestigious Folk Music Festival Bingsjöstämman, and the big closing concert at Rättviksparken. Participants can get selected to go on the Ethno On The Road tour in Sweden in the autumn. The fee includes housing, all meals and transport to and from the different concerts. It also includes transport from Stockholm for those of you traveling from outside of Sweden. Once you have submitted your application, it will be reviewed. If it is approved, you will receive an email with further information about payment, etc. Once the payment has been received by us, your spot is secured. For those participants who live in Sweden, there is also the possibility of a SEK 500 discount if you choose to become a (free) member of the Ethno Sweden Experience, see the application form for more info.
